What is JuvedermⓇ Ultra & Ultra Plus?
JuvedermⓇ Ultra and Ultra Plus are dermal fillers created to correct facial wrinkles, folds from the nose to the mouth, folds from the mouth to the chin, hollow areas in the cheeks, and to add fullness to the lips. Both fillers are created with hyaluronic acid, and absorb water under the skin. The main difference between JuvedermⓇ Ultra and JuvedermⓇ Ultra Plus is that JuvedermⓇ Ultra Plus has larger particles, thus providing longer-lasting results.
How Is Treatment Done?
During treatment, our injector will apply a topical anesthetic to eliminate any potential discomfort. Then, a very fine needle will be used to inject the dermal filler into the treatment area(s). Treatment is quick, typically lasting between 15-30 minutes depending on the size of the treatment area.
Results
Following treatment, patients may experience mild redness, tenderness, and bruising in the treatment area, though this should resolve quickly. There is no downtime required after injections, so you can return to your everyday routine right away.
The effects of both JuvedermⓇ Ultra and Ultra Plus are immediate, with the treatment area appearing smoother and fuller. JuvedermⓇ Ultra results can last about 4-6 months, while JuvedermⓇ Ultra Plus results can last about 6-9 months. JuvedermⓇ Ultra Plus treatments start at $675.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does Juvederm Ultra XC last?
Juvéderm Ultra XC can last anywhere from 6-12 months, depending on the area treated and how well your body responds to fillers.
Does Juvederm work immediately?
Immediately after your injection, you may see smoother, plumper skin. However, it will take about two weeks for the filler to settle and for you to see your final results.
How can I prepare for a Juvu00e9derm injection?
Before your Juvéderm injection, avoid anti-inflammatory medication such as aspirin for about five days before since these medications can increase the risk of bleeding. You should also avoid alcohol 24 hours prior to your injections and make sure to stay hydrated. When you arrive for your treatment, come in with a clean face so that there is no product on or around the injection site.
Do fillers help with jowls?
Yes! Cheek fillers and filler injections along the jawline and around the mouth can replace lost volume in your cheeks and lift the face.
Do lip fillers last longer the second time?
It is possible that your lip fillers will last longer the second time since they are adding onto new collagen growth from the first injection. However, your metabolism, mouth movement, and other factors affect the longevity of lip fillers so it is not a guarantee your second injection will last longer.
Can you sleep on your face after fillers?
You should sleep on your back with your head slightly elevated for at least 48 hours after receiving fillers. Lying on your stomach or side can shift the filler, which would move it out of place and negatively affect your results.
What is Juvederm Ultra XC used for?
Juvéderm Ultra XC is most commonly used to smooth fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth and augment the lips. It can smooth marionette lines between the mouth and chin, nasolabial folds extending from the corners of the mouth to the nose, and fine lines around and on the lips.
